Tea tray

Hi
I know this is not a card but it turned out so well I wanted to share.
Two years ago when we were visiting our friends in B.C. they were having their kitchen back splash changed.  I fell in love with the tiles and asked for some of the scraps.  Well it took me two years to do because I hadn't found the right tray.  When I finally found the right tray it came just in time because they visited yesterday and I was able to give it to them.  The tiles aren't blue but when the light hits them a certain way they change colors.  I think they are gorgeous.  If you are able to click on the picture you will see some very pretty colors that aren't visible otherwise.
Have a Blessed day.

Simple note card

Hi,
There was one more corner left of the dp from the other two cards and it was just the right size for a note card so here it is.
Have a Blessed day.

Faux cloissone butterfly

Hi
I loved the faux cloissone look that I saw on Split Coast Stampers awhile ago (a long while back ) and so tried it and the butterfly has been sitting in the P.O.T.D. along with the cut glass picture  so I decided to marry the two.  The folder has a cut out in the center so the inside of the card is covered with another piece of card and I made the card with a hinge.  I am not entirely happy with the card but I think the butterfly is gorgeous.
Have a Blessed day.

Poppy and dream catcher

Hi
From the P.O.T.D. (pile on the desk) comes this petal of one of my last years poppies that I pressed.  The dream catcher is an old earring and the gold is foil with an embossing folder.  The envelope is done with the envelope punch board.  Pretty straightforward.  As usual, the sentiment will be added when needed.  Most of the cards will be using up different elements that have been laying around on the P.O.T.D. and when that is cleared maybe I will have some newer ideas.
Have a Blessed Day.

Velvety looking butterfly

Hi,
For many of you who follow me you have seen this butterfly many times in different styles and you will, no doubt, see it many more times because I think it is absolutely gorgeous.  Again, it is printed on heavy cardstock and covered in mod podge for a bit of sheen.  I have been trying to use a lot of my prints for small note cards.  Instead of chocolates or flowers I use a pack of 4 note cards to say Thank You to the people who have been caring for Jim in hospital all these months.
Have a Blessed day.

Elegant

Hi,
If you saw the post before this one and before the rose one you can see that this is another part of the gorgeous dp.  For this one I used the trusty envelope punch board and used up some more of my extra papers.
Have a Blessed day.

Rose note card

Hi,
So pretty and so delicate.  I believe this came from Maxam Made who so generously shared with all of us.  It is just a note card and the envelope was lined with the same rose.  For some reason I forgot to photograph it.
The rose was printed on nice heavy cardstock and then I used mod podge to cover it and give it a bit of sheen.  The envelope liner was just printed on regular typing paper.
Have a Blessed day.

Simple but elegant

Hi,
The next few card posts are going to be very simple cards.  The gorgeous dp that languishes in my pile has been calling my name for several months now.  Finally I took scissors and my courage in hand and cut up this sheet and made cards from it.  Basically it is dp matted onto cardstock.  The sentiment will be added as needed.
Have a Blessed day.

A little wrapping paper fun

Hi,
I have had this wrapping paper for at least 10 years and decided it was time it got put to good use.  This is just stamping on the wrong side of the wrapping, paper, in mauve and purple tones,  as I wanted it to be muted so that the butterflies and flowers would be the focal point.  Then out came the trusty envelope punch board and the envelope was made.  There you have it, simple but, I think, rather pretty.
Have a Blessed day.

Hello friend and butterfly with Silhouette

Hi
If you  read my last post you know my camera is dying and it is very hard to get pics from it to the blog.  So I feel lucky that the last couple of pics have actually made it.  Not only is the camera dying but so is the keyboard :(
Just one more thing to goof up and that will be three and then hopefully all will be well for awhile.  lol
This butterfly is a print and cut from Silhouette Store cut on my Cameo.  Love that machine.  The hello friend is also a print and cut.  The butterfly and lady bug are rub ons that are raised.  The folder is a new one called Botanicals.  The envelope is made from the stash with the envelope punch board.    Ok I see that blogger isn't co-operating either so that must be the number three to go wrong.  Have a Blessed day.  Myrna

Birthday card for Hazel

Hi
Yes, it has been a very long time since I posted.  Life is starting to take on a new normal for me.
It has been a rough journey since January 1st and I have done very little cardmaking and I miss it.
Sorry the picture isn't clearer but my camera has decided to start dying. I think I was lucky to get this pic.
This is a lovely pic from Graphics Fairy, computer generated and spritzed with some shiny spray, a few pearls added and the same pic attached to the envelope and there you have it.
I have done one more but it needs to reach its destination before I can post it.  I hope I can slowly start getting a few more cards made.
Have a Blessed day.
