Valiant Dahlia and a Christmas card

Hi
Here is a pic of my valiant little dahlia plant.  If you are interested in the story it is posted in my blog under Dahlia.  Also if you click on it you can see that the poor little darling has the 2nd flower (which is dying) behind the plant.  Of course it is not an indoor plant and it has really given its all in producing those 3 flowers indoors.  It won't be long before all the leaves are dead and then I will put it away in the porch and see what it does next year.
To the left of the pic you can see some of my paper embroidery.  On top of the antique writing desk are just a few of the bells I have collected.  I love chimes and the bells were from relatives who have passed away.
The card is one of the Nellie Snellen folders from http://www.ecstasycrafts.com/.  Most of my Christmas cards will look like this with different colored matting.
Have a Blessed day.

Silver fall card

Hi
I fell in love with this svg from http://cleversomeday.wordpress.com/.  It can't be cut as an svg because it is so fine but it looks lovely done with a silver glitter pen in the Cricut.
I was going to use a couple more fairies but when I put them with the card I decided I liked it just plain.  "Maybe" I will do another one with fairies.  Clicking on the card sort of shows the glitter.
There is no sentiment because I never know when I make the cards what I plan on using them for.
Have a Blessed day.

Breanne's 18th birthday card

Hi
It is my grand daughters 18th birthday and she is a very old soul in an 18year olds body.  That is so much a part of her charm.   I wanted something more Victorian for her card.
Now I have done it again and forgot to document whose idea I have used.  If it is yours please let me know and I will give you credit.  Sorry.
This is such a cool technique.  The inside is like a frame with a recessed area and anything can be printed there or even hidden there.  (which is what I like to do with their gifts)

This one shows the interior of the enclosure.
This shows the little door that covers up the enclosure where her gift is hidden.

I hope she likes it.
Have a Blessed day.

Night time fairies

Hi
Just a simple little fairy and moon card for the sake of whimsy.  The little fairies are from the cartridge Tinker Bell and Friends. They are popped up on dimensionals.   The tree svg was in the P.O.T.D. so I have no idea who to give credit to.  sorry.  The moon background came from the internet somewhere.
Like I said, using up the scraps and some of them have been there for a very long time.
Have a Blessed day.

Dahlia

Hi
This year I bought a dahlia root and some how it got forgotten and didn't get into the garden.  One day I noticed it was still in the bag so I planted it in a big pot.  Then the squirrels dug it up.  I replanted it.  They dug it up again and chewed it in half.  Finally I covered the pot with netting and lo and behold the little plant started to grow.  It was too late in the season for it to bloom outside so every evening I brought the pot in and every day it was warm I put it outside again.  Finally it bloomed.  That was my inspiration for this card.   As I have said before I am trying to use up the P.O.T.D..   The dahlia I made for this card.  The rest were pieces I had.  The white background is the last piece of grooved paper and I wish I had more.
Here is the pic of the inspiration.  The plant grew to over two feet tall but I have only included the flower.  (and part of my hand lol)
Have a Blessed day.
