Nothing to show-forgot to take photo

Hi
Just wanted to tell you all that follow me I made my grand daughters birthday card and was in such a hurry to post it I forgot to take a picture of it. When she receives it she will photo it for me and I will then post it.
In the meantime I also wanted to tell you that I am going to take a short vacation from blogging. Nothing serious, just taking time away. Perhaps a couple of weeks or perhaps a month. Not sure. lol
Hopefully when I return I will see all your beloved faces again.
Have a Blessed day.

I call this Venus-last painting to show you

Hi
This is the last painting I have to show you of the ones my mom did and that I have in my possession.
For some strange reason I call this beautiful little statue Venus.
I hope you have enjoyed my moms paintings as much as I have enjoyed showing them to you and owning them.
Have a Blessed day.

Floral Painting

Hi
This is the next to last painting of my moms I have to show you. I have no idea when it was painted because mom very often did not sign them or date them. Mom loved flowers and did many floral paintings but I have only this one.
Have a Blessed day.

My moms paintings Third in a series of three

Hi
This is the last of the Indian Maiden series.
Yes, the "Great Spirit" granted her happy ever after wish and brought her a handsome man. Which brings me to the Apache Wedding Blessing, which I love.
Apache Wedding blessing

Now you will feel no rain,
For each of you will be shelter to the other.

Now you will feel no cold,
For each of you will be warmth to the other.

Now there is no loneliness,
For each of you will be companion to the other.

Now you are two bodies,
But there is only one life before you.

Go now to your dwelling place,
To enter into the days of your togetherness.

And may your days be
Good and long upon the earth.

This is my wish for all of you who read my blog, may your days be good and long upon the earth.
I have two more paintings in my possession which I will post. By that time I am hoping I will have gotten another card put together. lol
Have a Blessed day.

Moms painting Second in the series

Hi
This is where I believe this Indian maid has decided what she wants to do with her life and is now petitioning The Great Spirit for it. Remember this is only fiction, lol.
You will have to come again to see what The Great Spirit did for her. tee hee
Have a Blessed day.

Needing some help

Hi
In the last couple of weeks I found on someones blog, a recipe for homemade dishwashing soap and also a link to another blog which had a recipe for homemade laundry soap as well. I was so sure I had bookmarked the site but apparently not. Does anyone remember seeing this site?
Thanks

Moms paintings First in a series of three

Hi
This is the first in a series of three paintings that my mom did. She had done this one and when I saw it I thought it would be nice to have a story told by some more paintings. So I asked her if she would do two more for me and she agreed. This is the first where the Indian maiden is contemplating her life. They are all framed in older wooden frames. I am wondering if I should have them reframed to reflect the style of my present home. We shall see. Any comments are welcome.
Whoops, I made an error in how old the paintings were. They were done in 1982 and 1983.

My moms painting Autumn scene

Hi
I know I have been very lax in posting to my blog lately. As I have said before, there are many things on my desk waiting to be put together to make a card but I just haven't seemed to be able to get it together.
Awhile back I had said I was going to post some of my moms paintings. So today I have taken pictures and I will post them one at a time. My mom passed away 12 years ago and these paintings were done at least 40 years ago. She was 90 when she passed and she painted right up until she was 88 or 89.
Here is the first one and it is framed in a very old wooden frame. I love the colors and the little old cottage in the background. The camera may have given it too much yellow but it is still a pretty painting.
Have a Blessed day.

Butterfly and flowers

Hi
Just a simple little card made from my experiments. I had some scraps of cardstock left over (mauve and darker mauve). Placed it on white cardstock. Used Martha Stewart garden trellis punch. Used Amy Chomos gel pen to make the faith sentiment. Daubed the card and trellis with mauve ink and added my flowers and butterfly. Colored the faith and edges of butterflies with pencil crayon and oms. That's it.
Have a Blessed day.
